Founder Matthew Tarver's transition from engineering to venture capital occurred by a simple act of helping a family friend raise funds for a start-up. This experience ultimately led to the decision to leave his engineering job and relocate to San Francisco in April 2017, the epicenter of venture capital activity.

 

After a successful run as a portfolio manager for Sohan Capital's venture fund, Matthew launched Foundt Capital in April 2022. He serves as the General Partner alongside partner Miller Maestri, based in Dallas, TX.

 

The Foundt team is composed of kindred spirits who enjoy the process of evaluating start-ups as much as making the investment itself. The combination of Matthew's technical prowess and Miller's unwavering commitment to excellence has proven to be a great recipe for success.
